Terms of Service
Last updated: April 13, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Strata ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Description of Service
Strata is a multi-tenant B2B analytics platform that enables businesses to connect data sources, run natural-language queries, generate dashboards, and perform ML-powered analyses. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.
3. Subscription Plans
Strata offers three subscription tiers: Starter, Growth, and Scale. Each tier includes specific resource limits (connectors, team members, ML analyses, LLM budget). Current pricing is available on the Pricing page.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
- You may upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
- Downgrades that exceed the target tier's limits will be blocked until usage is within bounds.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Upon cancellation:
- Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- No prorated refunds are issued for partial months.
- Your data remains accessible for 30 days after the subscription ends.
- After 30 days, your tenant data (warehouse, uploads, connectors) is permanently deleted.
5. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you upload to or generate through the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your data.
You grant Strata a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service (running queries, generating analyses, syncing connectors).
6. Data Export
You may export your data at any time through the dashboard export functionality. We support CSV and JSON export formats. Upon request, we will provide a complete data export within 7 business days.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
- Attempt to access another tenant's data or circumvent tenant isolation mechanisms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated systems to scrape, overload, or abuse the Service beyond your plan's limits.
- Upload content that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written consent.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
9. Limitations of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated queries, analyses, or forecasts.
- Business decisions made based on data or analyses produced by the Service.
- Data loss beyond what is covered by our backup and recovery procedures.
- Downtime or service interruptions caused by third-party providers.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Strata from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the Service. We will provide notice and an opportunity to cure non-critical violations before termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
